FAQs

You can find the origins of our beans for each of our blends on our product page. Majority are single-origin blends from Brazil, Ethopia, or El Salvador. We partner with a variety of family owned as well as women-run farms to seek out the highest quality green beans, roast them locally, and deliver them to your door step.

We are a big believer in selling our beans whole in order to preserve the coffee's natural aromas and provide the best flavor.  Buying whole beans allows your coffee to stay fresher longer and deliver you the best cup of joe on your schedule. In addition, pre-ground coffee is best for regular drip coffee pots. Nothing wrong with regular drip coffee, but we like selling coffee beans so you can 'choose your own adventure' whether that is pour over, french press, or home espresso (to name a few).

Majority of our coffee is available year round for purchase. However, some of our specialty blends are in limited supply. If you don't see your favorite blend on the website, please feel free to contact us and we can give you an update on its availability or recommendations for similar blends.

For coffee to be certified organic by the USDA, strict regulations and certifications are enforced at all levels of production. We partner with small, family owned farms as well as women operated farms who do not always have the financial resources to access these certifications. However, most of our farms do follow sustainable and organic practices.

Similar to the USDA Organic certification, Fair Trade certification also requires a rigourous evaluation as well as a financial investment. Although some of our coffee is Fair Trade Certified, not all farmers choose to channel their resources towards this process. We believe all farmers and their workers should have a fair, living wage and safe working conditions, which is why we value the partnerships we have established with who align with these same principles.
